The Coloured Bull Terrier Club - Judges Criteria


A1 LIST

Judges who have previously been approved by the Kennel Club to award CC’s in the Breed and have the support of the Club.


A2 LIST

Judges who fulfil all the requirements for the A3 list and have been assessed in accordance with Kennel Club requirements and accepted by the Kennel Club for inclusion on an A2 list and have the support of the Club.


A3 LIST

Judges who are recommended by the Club for consideration by the Kennel Club for inclusion on the A2 list.


BREED SPECIALIST REQUIREMENTS

1. To have a minimum of 7 years judging experience in the Breed and have the support of the Club.

2. To have judged at 4 Bull Terrier breed shows at different clubs over 5 or more years.

3. To have judged a minimum of 60 classes.

4. To have judged a minimum of 190 dogs with at least 40 dogs at 3 shows.

5. To have bred or owned a minimum of 3 dogs of which 2 must be coloured, when they obtained their first entry in the Kennel Club stud book (save in exceptional circumstances KC policy).

6. To have attended a seminar given by a KC accredited trainer and passed the relevant examination on KC rules and regulations and judging procedures (KC policy 1/7/2001).

7. To have attended a seminar given by a KC accredited trainer on conformation and movement (KC policy 1/7/2001).

8. To have attended a conformation and movement hands-on assessment seminar conducted by a KC accredited trainer and passed the assessment (KC policy 2005).

9. To have attended at least one breed specific seminar run in accordance with the KC code of best practice, and passed an examination and/or assessment where applicable (KC policy 1/7/2001).

10. To have stewarded at 12 shows or for 12 days.


NON SPECIALIST REQUIREMENTS

1. To have a minimum of 7 years judging experience in any one breed to include 5 years in this breed and have support of the Club.

2. To have judged 3 Bull Terrier breed shows over 5 years.

3. To have judged a minimum of 30 classes in this breed.

4. To have judged a minimum of 100 dogs in this breed.

5. To have awarded CC’s in at least one other breed.

6. To have attended a Bull Terrier breed judging seminar, run in accordance with the relevant KC code of best practice and passed an examination or assessment where applicable.


B LIST

Judges who have been approved by the Club to judge at shows without CC’s or Open Shows.


BREED SPECIALIST REQUIREMENTS

1. To have 7 years experience owning and exhibiting in this breed and have the support of the Club.

2. To have judged 30 dogs of this breed.

3. To have attended 2 Bull Terrier breed judging seminars run in accordance with the KC code of best practice and, passed an examination or assessment where applicable.


C LIST

Aspirant judges who have the support of the Club to judge at minor shows.


N.B Save in exceptional circumstances, judges must have full critiques published in the Dog Press as a condition for their inclusion on the Club’s list.
